Built up Felt Roofing
Built up Felt Roofing has developed significantly in recent years. Felt products are now pre-bituminised and are applied using a gas torch rather than the old traditional method of "pour and roll" where the use of a tar boiler was necessary. This has made the process cleaner, safer and far more time efficient but most importantly it has significantly reduced fire risk. In fact, felt roofs can now be applied in a totally flame free environment and are installed using either PU adhesive or are mechanically fixed and then the side and end laps are hot air welded. This system offers the same length of guarantee as any other felt system and is ideal where fire risk is a major problem as there is no use of naked flames.
We offer a number of cost effective felt roofing solutions whether for the large new build project or the refurbishment of a domestic flat roof.
Single Ply PVC Membrane Roofing
Single ply PVC membranes are now the most popular roofing choice for large commercial/industrial buildings since they allow rapid, flame free application whilst still providing durability.
Our craftsmen have extensive experience in this area and have all undergone training and are approved by the Manufacturer's of the products.
Green Roofs
Increasingly, we are seeing enquiries for Green Roofs and began installing these in 2007. They are essentially a layer of sedum/grass installed on top of a flat roof. They offer environmental benefits such as reducing storm water run off, reducing heat loss and absorbing carbon dioxide but also offer aesthetic benefits by softening the visual impact of a building.

Please note: Prospective clients should be aware that the new Part L Building Regulations which took effect in April 2006 require that many buildings whether new build or undergoing refurbishment will require insulating. We can provide further information on this should your roof fall into this category.
